Central to the collection is a series of Bio-cycles (biographical lifecycles). Each painting charts the life dates of the writer. The paintings are comprised of four sections; when read from the inner circle outwards the number of lines in each section denotes the writer's respective century and year of birth followed by the century and year of death. The colours utilised in each painting relate to the life and work of each individual writer. These abstracted works extend beyond visual aesthetics. There is an abstracted narrative in which the composition and coloration are integral to the given title 'Biographical Lifecycle.'

-> Nobel Laureate Paintings

G.B. Shaw
Nobel Prize in Literature 1925

Samuel Beckett
Nobel Prize in Literature 1969

These paintings pay homage to Ireland's four writers awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature; W.B.Yeats 1923, George Bernard Shaw 1925, Samuel Beckett 1969 and Seamus Heaney 1995. Each painting represents the year in which the writer was honoured with the prestigious prize. The composition of each artwork is read in a verso recto book format. A central line in a yellow colour divides the composition of these literary luminary paintings. On viewing the left-hand side, the century is indicated by the number of lines and on viewing the right-hand side, the year of the award is represented by the number of lines. The lines, horizontal or vertical respectively refer to the written lines of text or spine of a book whilst the coloration employed refers to the life and work of each writer.
